Marcus de Castro is responsible for construction management at Boylston Properties with a focus on its 1M square foot Arsenal Yards project – namely the development of its nine-story life science tower, 100 Forge. Marcus works with the construction team to maintain budgets, facilitate general and subcontracts, coordinate with tenants, and provide day-to-day communication to keep construction efficient and effective.
Marcus brings more than ten years of experience in construction management, most recently as a project Manager at E.M. Duggan, Inc focusing on the HVAC scope of mixed-use projects in Boston such as 345 Harrison Ave, a mixed-use residential development by UDR, One Nashua Street Residences, a residential tower by AvalonBay Communities, and Partners Healthcare Administrative Office in Somerville’s Assembly Row. Prior to that, Marcus was an MEP Engineer/Superintendent at Turner Construction Company dedicated to the ground-up construction of Vertex Pharmaceutical’s Research and Corporate HQ in the Seaport, and an Assistant Project Manager at Limbach Holdings, Inc where he worked on projects such as the W Hotel Boston, the IRS Andover Campus Renovation, and Northeastern University’s Barrett Laboratories.
Marcus is OSHA 30 and LEED AP certified, and received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College and his Masters of Business Administration from Porto Business School in Porto, Portugal.
